Privacy Policy

To arrange a delivery we collect:

• the sender's name, telephone number and collection address
• the recipient's name, telephone number and delivery address
• a description of the parcel, its size and weight, and the collection and delivery coordinates
• an email address, where you give one
• a photograph taken at the point of delivery, as evidence the parcel arrived

If you create an account we also store your password, in a hashed form that cannot be reversed to reveal it.

Payment is handled by our mobile money provider. We record which method was used, the amount, and the provider's transaction reference. We never see or store your mobile money PIN, and we handle no card details at all.

• To collect the parcel, carry it, and deliver it to the right person
• To let the sender and the recipient follow the parcel, and to send progress updates by SMS and email
• To take payment and issue receipts and invoices
• To answer questions and settle claims about a delivery
• To meet our tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

A sender gives us the recipient's name, telephone number and address. We use them only to make the delivery and to keep the recipient informed about it. If you are a recipient and want to know how your details reached us, contact us and we will tell you.

Your information is shared only with:

• the courier carrying your parcel, who sees what is needed to collect and deliver it
• our mobile money provider, to take payment and issue refunds
• the providers that send our SMS and email messages, and that host the service
• public authorities, where the law requires it of us

Some of these providers operate outside Rwanda, so your information may be processed abroad. We use providers that offer appropriate protection for it.

A tracking page can be opened by anyone holding the tracking number, because the recipient needs to follow a parcel without an account. That page deliberately shows less than the full record: the area a parcel is coming from and going to rather than the street addresses, the courier's first name and last initial rather than their full name, and no telephone numbers.

Tracking numbers are randomly generated and cannot be guessed by counting from another one.

Delivery records are kept for 10 years, which allows us to answer later queries and meet our tax obligations. Account details are kept while the account is open.

When you close an account, we remove your personal details. Where a delivery history must be kept for accounting, the record is retained with your identity removed from it.

Under Rwandan law you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete information we no longer need
• stop using your information in a particular way
• give you a copy of the information you provided

Write to info@eabcarrier.com. We reply within 3 working days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the National Cyber Security Authority.

EAB Carrier is a courier and logistics company registered in Rwanda, with its registered office at KK 15 Ave, Kimironko, Kigali, and TIN 150645496.

We hold a Courier Service (Domestic) licence from the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority, licence number RURA/POS/LIC/260619391.

The service is served over encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed. Access to customer records is restricted by role, so a courier sees the deliveries assigned to them and not the customer list.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when this version took effect. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you.
