Terms of Service

Home/Terms of Service

Last updated 12 August 2026

These terms govern your use of EAB Carrier (East African Bridge Carrier) and the delivery services we provide. By booking a delivery — through our website, by telephone, or at one of our counters — you agree to them.

1. Who we are

EAB Carrier is a courier and logistics company registered in Rwanda, with its registered office at KK 15 Ave, Kimironko, Kigali. Our TIN is 150645496.

We hold a Courier Service (Domestic) licence from the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority, licence number RURA/POS/LIC/260619391.

You can reach us at info@eabcarrier.com or +250 787 567 573.

2. Booking a delivery

A booking is an offer to us. It becomes a contract when we accept it, which happens when payment is confirmed and the parcel is collected. We may decline a booking, and will say why where we can.

You must give accurate collection and delivery addresses and a working telephone number for both sender and recipient. We are not responsible for delay or failed delivery caused by details that turn out to be wrong.

You may book without creating an account. We still need a name and telephone number so the parcel can be traced and the recipient contacted.

3. Prices and payment

The price is calculated from distance, parcel size and weight, and is shown before you confirm. Express delivery is charged at a higher rate, shown separately at booking.

Payment is by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, or cash at a counter. Parcels are collected once payment is confirmed.

4. What we will not carry

You may not send, and we will not knowingly carry:

  • Cash, negotiable instruments, precious metals or precious stones
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons of any kind
  • Illegal drugs and any substance whose possession is an offence in Rwanda
  • Live animals, human remains, or biological and medical waste
  • Flammable, corrosive, toxic, radioactive or otherwise hazardous goods
  • Perishable goods, unless agreed with us in writing beforehand
  • Anything whose carriage, import or export is prohibited by law

If a parcel is found to contain a prohibited item, we may stop carrying it, hand it to the authorities where the law requires, and charge you for costs we incur. No refund is due in that case.

5. Packing

Parcels must be packed well enough to survive normal handling and transport by road and motorcycle. We may refuse a parcel that is not adequately packed, and we are not liable for damage that results from poor packing.

6. Collection and delivery

Delivery times shown at booking are estimates, not guarantees, unless we have agreed a guaranteed time with you in writing. Traffic, weather, road closures and events outside our control affect them.

We deliver to the address given. Where nobody is available to receive a parcel, we will attempt to contact the recipient and arrange redelivery. We make up to three attempts.

After the third attempt the parcel is held at our nearest branch and the sender is contacted. The sender may collect it there, ask us to attempt delivery again, or have it returned. A return is a second journey and is charged at 100% of the original delivery cost. Storage charges apply once the free period has passed.

Every completed delivery is recorded with a photograph taken at the point of handover.

7. If something goes wrong

If we lose or damage a parcel, we repay its full value once you have shown us what it was worth — a receipt, an invoice, or other evidence we can reasonably accept. We are not liable for indirect losses — lost profit, lost business, or lost opportunity — however they arise.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Rwandan law.

Claims must be made within 24 hours of the delivery, or of the time delivery was attempted. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how refunds are handled.

8. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to it.

We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently, to send prohibited items, or in breach of these terms.

9. Your personal data

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to a delivery is the one published when you booked it. The date at the top shows when this version took effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Rwanda have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
